Our busy 1 year old

Megan is one happy little girl. She loves getting into things and exploring. It is so much fun to watch her.

Who needs toys when there are boxes to play with!

I hope she always enjoys saving this much!

Megan's 1st Birthday

Yes, I know it is hard to believe, but our little Megan turned 1 on Nov. 4th. I am both happy and sad to see her growing up. I know I will miss the helpless baby stage, but at the same time I love seeing her grow and become independent. She has become such a little person now. She loves reading books and choosing which book she wants to read. She loves playing ball and going new places to explore. Everyday she is becoming more and more of a Daddy's girl. Not only is she looking more and more like him, but it appears that she now has Daddy's taste buds as they like the same food; pickles, olives, salt and vinegar chips. The other day I put a chocolate chip (my favorite food!) in her mouth and she spit it out, then proceeded to eat a pickle with her Dad.

She is now 19 pounds and is 29 inches tall. She is crawling all over the place, pulling up, saying a few words (mom, dad, dog) and starting to walk. She has her two bottom front teeth and is working on getting her two front top teeth.

For her birthday we just had a small party at Grandma and Grandpa Roessings. She opened presents and did quite well at pulling the wrapping paper off the presents once Daddy got it started for her. She then had a cupcake which she thought was fun to smear all over the tray and squish in her hands, but she didn't have any interest in eating it. It was fun feeding it to Mommy though. Here are some pictures of her birthday.

She didn't much care for the chocolate

but it was fun to squish in the hands

.....and really fun to feed it to Mommy!

Happy Halloween

Here at the Norris house we had a great Halloween. First, we visited a Pumpkin patch to see some baby animals and to pick some pumpkins. It was a beautiful day and we got some good pictures of the family. We also decided to throw a fun Halloween party for some friends and enjoyed getting the house all decorated. Robert was the Invisible Man and I was a hippie. Unfortunately, we were too busy to snap a picture of ourselves but, don't worry, we got plenty of Megan. She was a bunny...a very cute bunny I might add.
