We tried to go camping this weekend, and it was a total bust. First, due to the high fire danger, we couldn't have a campfire. So, we got to the campsite (which wasn't very nice - no tree coverage and lots of ants) and set up camp and then cooked our dinner on our propane stove. It just doesn't have the same feel as cooking over a campfire. Plus, no toasted marshmallows. Then later that evening it started to rain, so we spent most of the time in the camper. We called it a night and tried to get some sleep. But then Nadia got very sick with diarrhea and needed out every 45 minutes or so. It made for a long night. Then next morning Megan and Daddy took a walk down to the lake while I tried to get a little bit of sleep. Megan really wanted to take a boat ride, so they walked back up to check on me and make plans. Nadia was still very sick, so instead of a boat ride we just decided to pack up camp and head home in case we needed to take Nadia to the vet. Megan was upset so we promised her we would take her on a boat ride when we got back home. So, to make good on our promise, the next morning we headed to a park that had a small lake with paddle boats, a playground, and water fountains. I think she had just as much fun if not more than if we were camping with no campfire and ants crawling on us. So, no pictures of camping, but lots of her at the park.
