Trip to Estes Park

Last September we had a weekend getaway with some friends. 5 couples and 5 toddlers rented a house in Estes and had fun playing, eating, and hiking. It was fun for all of the parents and all of the kids too.

The 5 kids having a cookie after dinner on the first evening. It's the only way we could get them all to sit still long enough for a picture.
                                My cutie.
                       The whole gang.

               Getting ready to go hiking.

Hiking in Estes Park.  So beautiful!

Bathtime after a fun day of hiking.  We decided 3 in a tub was plenty.  They had fun though.

Wildlife in Estes.  A whole bunch of elk just down from the house we were staying at.
We managed to get a nice family photo while up there.  It is nice to have friends willing to snap the camera for you just when the little one is smiling.

Camping - August 2010

This year we bought a camper and was able to take Megan on her first camping trip.  We all had a fun time.

Our new camper!  Home away from home.
Waiting for breakfast.  Daddy is making pancakes.  Yumm!

Daddy thought he was going to fish.  Nadia and Megan had other plans. Nadia like to run thru the water and Megan liked to throw rocks in.

                                        Day 2.  Taking a hike.
Rain storm rolled in, so fun had to be had inside the camper.  Nothing like colors and stickers to entertain a little one.

                                              ......and a big one!

Final day.  Taking a walk before heading home.

Heading home.  I think they are worn out.  Nothing better than a sleeping dog and a sleeping little girl.

Megan's first running race

On July 4th I did a race with Megan.  After all the adults ran, the kids got to participate in a little race across the park where we ended.  Megan didn't know what to do until all the other kids starting running.  Needless to say, Megan and her friend Will were the youngest in the crowd (and the cutest if I might add.)

Running to the finish.
She made it to the finish.

Father's Day

I know Father's Day was over 2 months ago, but we took some fun pictures that I wanted to post.  We had a nice day, even though Robert was busy working in the morning.  We had a nice dinner, he opened his presents and then we all went to a carnival by our house.  Robert got a new camera (yea!) and a picture book all about him and Megan.  Here are the pictures from the carnival.  Megan loved the rides.
Megan loved to ride the horses.

On the ferris wheel.

Sitting like a big girl on the ferris wheel.  At first she wanted to stay on Daddy's lap, but then decided it was OK to sit in the seat.

I love this picture of Megan and her Daddy.

Water, water, and more water

Megan loves playing in the water and going swimming.  Even if the water is cold, she still wants to get wet.  Here are some recent pictures of her playing with the hose in the front yard and her playing in her little swimming pool.

I think she may have a future as a fireman!!

It's May and the Flowers are Blooming

Our flowers turned out so beautiful again this year.  I am always so excited when I see my tulips coming up.  Megan thinks they are pretty too.

Easter 2010

Get ready for lots of pictures.  First, we had her pictures taken by a photographer that had a little bunny (which Megan loved) and little chicks.  Then we let her dye Easter eggs, which was so much fun.  I was surprised at how well she did and how much she enjoyed it.  Grandma and Granpa Roessing came over to help us dye eggs and give her some Easter presents.

These are the pictures from the photographer.  I will get the rest of the Easter pictures posted later this week.  Megan is waking up from her nap.

March 2010 pictures

Hello everyone,
Ah, Megan is napping and I am trying to get caught up on posting pictures. We are so excited that it is spring time. Megan loves going outside and especially loves going to the park to swing. Sometimes I think she must have been dreaming about swinging because it is often the first thing she is telling me she wants when I get her up out of the crib. This girl needs about 6 things to keep her happy: swing, balls, bubbles, books, crackers, and Mom (or Grandma). Here are just a few pictures from March.

Megan's first ride on her bike that she got for Christmas. She loved it!

Two days later, several inches on snow fell. I bundled her up and took her outside to play. She was less than impressed and wanted the sunny weather to come back.

Cereal from a bowl with milk is one of her favorite breakfasts.

Needless to say, it didn't take her long to learn how to drink the milk out of the bowl after the cereal was all gone. I guess she watched me and Robert a few too many times.

Megan Walking

I know this is a couple months old, but here is a video of Megan taking some of her first steps. We had her walking between Mom and Dad to help motivate her to take those steps. We also had to use the ball as motivation as that is one of her favorite toys. What can I say, the girl loved to crawl so it took some motivation to get her to walk. Now, crawling is a thing of the past, she walks so good, and sometimes even tries to run! I love that she is walking now and I don't have to pack her everywhere and her hands aren't on the floor getting dirty all the time. Enjoy!

Megan so Sleepy

Here is a video of Megan in her high chair. She was eating lunch and then became so sleepy. It is way too cute! Once again, press the play button on the bottom left of the black screen.
